It's hard to believe that it has almost been two years since the 'Do It Like a Local' blog began.
The inspiration for the site came from the time I spent living overseas in Amsterdam. It was the first time I'd really traveled in a way that allowed me to experience a place like a local. Being away from home (and so close to the train station) gave me the excuse to explore, understand some of the history of the country and experience the local culture.
Recently I realized that although I spend a lot of time researching the places I visit, I take the place I live for granted.
Rediscover Toronto
This summer I've dedicated the blog to rediscovering Toronto - exploring the neighbourhoods, learning the history and sharing my experiences. After eight weeks , I now have a deeper appreciation for my city, but I know there's still more that I should see - so I'm looking to you for my next inspiration.
